Anadenobolus arboreus (Red Phase) "Puerto Rican Tree/Red Tree" Millipede

Anadenobolus arboreus (Red Phase) "Puerto Rican Tree/Red Tree" Millipedes for sale!

These are rare and hard to find in the hobby. This is the red phase of the arboreus.

This is a very hardy, active, arboreal species that reaches about 4.5 inches as adults. They are a great beginner species if you're looking into arboreal millipedes. They display a beautiful reddish brown body with yellowish legs. They are also communal and can be kept in groups.

Since these guys are more arboreal, they will require more vertical space with branches, logs, cork bark, sticks, etc. to climb around on above the substrate. They do require a higher humidity environment which can be accomplished by keeping the substrate rather deep, around 6+ inches and keep it very moist. Avoid coco fiber/coconut products as they can cause impaction in millipedes. Give them plenty of decaying matter such as a good white rot wood and leaf litter. You can also give them a small piece of sweet potato, squash, cucumber, or apple once a week.
