Analocostreptus servatius "Fire Head" Millipede
Analocostreptus servatius "Fire Head" Millipedes for sale!
Reaching 7-8" on average, some even reaching 10inches, these African beauties display bright orangey red heads and tail ends with a gunmetal gray body. They are communal so they can live in a ground, are mostly active during the day and enjoy semi-arboreal setups making them a great display species. They can live up to 5+ years in captivity with proper care. They are generally hardy and is a great beginner species.
Give them a deep substrate of at least 8+ inches, the more the better. Keep in moist with a small amount of ventilation. You can add sticks, logs, cork bark, etc. for them to climb around as well. Provide plenty of decaying matter such as a good white rot wood and leaf litter. You can supplemental feed with a small piece of sweet potato, squash, or cucumber about once a week.
