Native to North America, this moderately large isopod is an orange morph of the traditional "vulgare". The colors can range from a bright orange to a deeper red. The variety makes of this gene makes these little guys absolutely gorgeous! They also keep the same golden/yellow speckling that the traditional vulgare has that shines through their colors. Vulgare does well in a semi-arid environment and should avoid tropical conditions.
