Coecobrya tenebricosa "Pink Tropical" Springtails for sale!

This will include 100+ springtails shipped on a temporary 2oz deli cup coated with springtail clay for safe shipping and ease of adding to their new enclosure.

Ironically, even those these have "tropical" in their name, they are tolerable of semi-arid to arid conditions as long as they are still offered a wet area to retreat to.  They are a fast-breeding springtail and do extremely well in bioactive clean up and also make great feeders for small reptiles and amphibians that require tiny prey.

Coecobrya tenebricosa have been properly identified and they were previously known as Sinella Curviseta Pink and Sinella Tropical springtails.

They can be culutured on soil, clay, or charcoal, although they do seem to thrive and breeder faster when they are on soil with clay being a close second.

You also have the option to choose an 8oz clay master culture kit and we will ship them in that container if you choose this option. This is a great size to start your long-time master culture and is sufficient for them to live in until they outgrow this container then will need to be transferred to a larger culture or you can split them into multiple smaller cultures.

*The kit will come with a small bag of Bug Buffet and a pipette to help water your culture precisely. You will want to keep the clay moist, but not too wet. A couple drops in your culture is all it needs

*The clay will eventually break down and the population will grow, so you will need to either purchase some springtail clay and a larger container to make your own, or you can purchase a larger container that is already coated with clay from us. Those can be found on our "starter kits" tab.
