Sterculia Jungle Pods are naturally dried seed pods from the Sterculia foetida tree, sustainably sourced from India. Their bold shape and rugged texture make them a striking addition to both natural displays and functional habitats. Also called badam pods or java olives.

Uses

• Aquariums: When properly prepared, these pods support biofilm growth and help create a more natural environment that encourages normal fish and shrimp behavior. Extended boiling and soaking are required to help them sink.

• Bioactive Terrariums: Provides shelter and grazing material for isopods and springtails while enriching the substrate as the pods slowly break down.

Aquatic Preparation: Boil for 1–2 hours, then soak in fresh water (changing daily) until fully saturated and tannin levels reach your preference.
