Lotus seed pods are the dried seed heads of the Nelumbo nucifera flower, famous for their honeycomb-like pattern. Their unique structure makes them a striking natural accent for a variety of uses. Your choice of size.  These will be whole, undamaged of very slightly blemished lotus pods. Some may have seeds still, some may not.

Uses

• Aquariums: Ideal for blackwater setups, lotus pods slowly release moderate tannins, helping lower pH naturally while encouraging biofilm growth. They also provide a food source for shrimp, invertebrates, and bottom-dwelling fish.

• Bioactive Terrariums: Offers hiding and grazing spaces for isopods and springtails while adding texture to the substrate as they break down.

• Decor & Crafts: Perfect as standalone décor, bowl fillers, terrariums, potpourri, wreaths, and mixed-media art.

Aquatic Preparation: Boil for at least 60 minutes to sterilize and help the pod sink, then soak in clean water overnight. Use an aquarium-safe weight if needed. Once the pod sinks, it is ready to add to your tank.
