These are teeny tiny, about the size of dwarf whites and are quite rare in the hobby still. They have a pinkish body with little bumpy spikes. They prefer a very moist, deep substrate to burrow in. Provide a little ventilation to prevent stagnant air, especially with the high moisture of the substrate.

You may think your jar of dirt is empty and the inhabitants have disappeared, but if you dig around in the substrate after a few months, you will find many many more than you started with. They do breed well.

Although they will spend most of their time buried, they will come to the surface if you feed some protein and sweet potato. I do provide a piece of oak bark for them to hide under, crumbled up leaf litter so they don't go flying at the slighted movement, rot wood, and a small piece of cuttlebone.
