They do require a moist substrate to live in and will not do well on clay or charcoal.  They will be shipped in a small deli cup coated with a small amount of springtail clay for safe shipping and ease of adding to their new enclosure, but shouldn't be left of the clay for too long after arriving.

These are extremely prolific and the faster breeding of the two orange species.  They don't require additional heat to reproduce but do need some protein in their diet.

They make a decent clean up crew for moist terrariums but will do best coupled with another springtail species such as globular cave or lepidocyrtus sp. for optimal results.
